2. Where do we get your data?
BEMER International AG sends us data on the active partners in our region every day. Some data is created when you use the online course or open our emails.
3. What personal data do we process?
From BEMER we receive:
- your name, email address and phone number
- your BEMER ID, your start date and whether you are an active partner
- your level and the date it last changed
- details of your mentor and your upline
- your sales volume (PSVP) for the current month and for the past three, six and twelve months
- your language and country.
We also store:
- your user account on the online course and which course you are enrolled in
- your progress on the course, for example which lessons you have completed
- a login log: when you asked for a login link, when a link or a welcome message was sent to you, and when you logged in. The log does not store your IP address.
- whether you open the emails we send to partners and whether you click the links in them
- data related to trainings and campaigns, such as seminar vouchers and details of your BEMER device
- the identifier of your personal invitation link in BEMER Nordic’s event portal.
If someone enters an email address on the login page and that address is not on the partner list, we do not store it. The log keeps only an identifier calculated from the address. The address cannot be read from this identifier. The identifier is deleted after 30 days.
Cookies. We use only the cookies that the service needs to work, for example for logging in and for remembering your language choice. The login cookie keeps you logged in for up to 90 days. We do not use analytics or advertising cookies.
The course videos are hosted on Vimeo. They are shown so that Vimeo does not use tracking cookies. However, when you play a video, your IP address is passed to Vimeo.
The website’s server records standard technical log data, such as IP addresses, to keep the service secure.
4. What do we use personal data for?
We process your data so that:
- you can log in to the online course without a password, using a link sent to your email
- your user account is created the first time you log in and you are enrolled in the course in your own language
- we can send you messages about the course, such as the welcome message, login links, reminders and a message when you complete the course
- we can send partners news, invitations to trainings and events, and campaign information. We choose the recipients based on, for example, language, country, level or your BEMER device.
- customer service can help you if you cannot log in. In that case, customer service can see the login log.
- the service stays secure: we limit how often a login link can be requested, and we log you out when you are no longer an active partner.
The legal basis for this processing is Lifenet Oy’s legitimate interest (Article 6(1)(f) GDPR): we support BEMER business partners in our region with training and information, and we keep the service secure.
You can unsubscribe from news and campaign messages using the link at the end of each message. We will still send you messages about logging in and your user account, because without them you cannot access the course.
5. Who can see your data?
Lifenet Oy’s employees and customer service process your data to the extent that their tasks require it. Your data is also processed by service providers that maintain the website, deliver the emails and show the course videos. They process the data on behalf of Lifenet Oy and according to its instructions.
In the course portal, other logged-in users of the online course can see your name, username, profile picture, points and when you were last active.
We do not sell your data to third parties.
6. Transfers of personal data outside the EEA
Some of our service providers, for example the email and video services, operate in the United States. In these cases, we protect your data as data protection law requires, for example by using standard contractual clauses approved by the European Commission.
You can ask for a list of our service providers by writing to customerservice@bemernordic.com.
7. How long do we keep personal data?
- We use your data for as long as you are an active partner.
- When you are no longer an active partner, we keep your user account, your course progress and your partner data for 24 months and then delete them. If you come back before then, you can continue the course where you left off.
- A link requested on the login page works for 24 hours. The personal login button in an email, for example in the welcome message, works for 7 days. Each can be used only once.
- Login log data is deleted after 30 days.
- Sent emails are kept in the website’s log for 7 days and in the email service’s log for 45 days.
- The server’s technical logs are deleted after 7 days.
- Data on email opens and link clicks is kept together with your partner data.
8. Your rights
You have the right to:
- receive information about how your personal data is processed
- check what data we process about you
- ask us to correct inaccurate data
- ask us to delete your data when the legal conditions for this are met
- ask us to restrict processing
- object to processing based on legitimate interest.
The data we receive from BEMER is updated from BEMER’s system. If it contains an error, please tell customer service, and we will correct the error or ask BEMER to correct it.
You can send your requests to customerservice@bemernordic.com.
9. Right to make a complaint
If you believe that your personal data has been processed in breach of data protection rules, you have the right to make a complaint to the Office of the Data Protection Ombudsman in Finland.
